Anw, it’s pretty sad seeing my classmates arguing in blogs… and having problems with each other in real life… Perhaps it’s pretty common, but I never saw this coming from my sweet-loving class of C185; at least I do now.
Sigh… I was too ignorant and unaware of things happening around me. Glad that I had a chance to chat to one of my buddy in class and got updates on things happening. I was like, wow… so many things and yet I failed to see it? =/
But to be blunt, few of you, my dear classmates, can be a real jerk sometimes. X)
But, nawh… I can’t bring myself to hate any of you. We’re young and it’s the best time to jerk and bitch around with others, so I don’t really blame anyone. Once we got into our working lives, we wont be able to do this as open as we do now coz we never know who’ll backstab us.
That’s why I like a quote I read somewhere… it goes like, if youth were to come a little later in life, things would be ideal… or something like that. And I totally agree. =)
We’re just immature bunch who doesn’t realize the preciousness of our moments in life. Some (I hope not any of you reading this) doesn’t even appreciate living, for whatever reason. Maybe abusive family background, parents very bad, divorced, heart broken, betrayed by best friend and so on and so forth. But, c’mon… most of the times youth are trapped in the darkness of their despair only because they failed to lift their head, open their eyes, and see the light. Take a look around you, and come and let me know if you are unable to find ANY precious things or people around you worth living for.
And friends, please reduce the tendency to be judgmental to others? And before I continue, I know one of you wrote about this topic also and I want to let you know that this is nothing like a reply to your entry or anything like that… just so happen I wanna talk about this also… and so you don’t need to quote from my blog also. =))
Going back, I know it’s very very hard not to be judgmental. Coz I have to say, we are living in a judgmental society… I find Singapore to be one of the places with a very high level of it. Maybe that’s why I’m so out of place sometimes? Back in Indo, friends can just argue and shoot each other and bad mouth each other in front of each other’s faces and still got no hard feelings. It’s pretty hard to explain and I’m too lazy to give an example, but that’s how it was.
Wah, try it on any of your friends here… “Eh, please la, dun like that lei! Very irritating le!” and the next thing you know he’ll thinking *wah, wtf, whotf he think he is sia talk to me like that?* but still will say “ok, ok, sorry”. Why? Coz you automatically think that if people say that and tell you to shut your trap in a not very smooth way, they’re against you… well, I think I shalln’t stereotype and use “you”. Maybe you’re not like that. But I know it’s a common way of thinking here. I juust use “you” but it doesn’t necessarily means you, ok? It’s easier to write. =P
Like, imagine I come to you and tell you that you’re a jerk and you should change. Instead of asking for explanation and be open, wont you just want to kill me and never talk to me again? Hehe… vulnerable friendship we have around here.
Thing is, everyone thinks differently and speaks differently. One may say something to two different people and each one of them will catch different meaning to it. If you are unsure or offended with the speech, the best thing to do is not to take it the hard way and go home bitter, but to speak up and ask for clarification… communication, friends… communication… if you can just speak openly to each other, things would be great. But openly doesn’t mean publicly. Like blog argument? It’s too public. It will never bring any good. And the sickening part is you are obliged to keep the names unwritten. X)

There must always be an explanation of why you do things the way you did or why you behave the way you behaved. I am not you so I won’t understand and I won’t act like I understand; I have no right to draw conclusions from you. Now, any of you that read this, felt compelled to let me know the problems you got against me or why I did this or that or whatever explanation you need from me, sms me and we’ll chat it over…
