Just got back. Service was awesome today (though they sang in Chinese again… sigh) but pst.Ulf is super hilarious! He’s the funniest oldest man I’ve ever known! XD
The way he shared his missions experience are just… awesome… he put it in such a funny and interesting way, yet he never fail to put the main message across to us – when we are sent to the missions, the whole heaven will back us up! Everything’s gonna be alright! No matter how difficult or challenging being in some alien nation with weird cultures and unknown delicacies all around us, everything’s gonna be alright!
It really impacted me when he shared about the perspective we have about “going”. “Going” includes two things: Leaving behind the things dear to us – our home, our comfort, loved ones. But that should not be the centre of our focus, instead we have to think that when we’re “going”, we are going forward to something! We gotta see our destination and purpose, not grieving and throw a pity-party of how miserable and lonely we are in the mission field.
Overcome the fear of missions and receive the fire of missions!
After service went to eat at Aston’s. Ate a wonderfully flavored black pepper steak! Wohoo. That thing was really worth all my waiting time and my 10 buckz!
Yeap, waiting time. Missed bus 12 coz we were waiting for Shawn. The rest kept on complaining and I was quite sick of it. Lol. So I just pretend not to hear anything. The next bus 12 came half an hour later. Afterwards, we gotta wait for the table to clear (it was a full-house at Aston’s) for like, 15 mins? Maybe more. Didn’t really care coz I was feeling a bit down.
So, recapping today, it was funny in the beginning – watched the Simpsons. It was awesome during service – looooveee pst.Ulf. But nothing really special towards the end of the day. Except for the yummy black pepper steak of course, I was kinda’ feeling low throughout the night. And they say our end is supposed to be better than the beginning? Sigh. I need to pray, man… Good night world.
“Break out from where you are. It’s about time you move on. Don’t let your emotions take you over. You are filled with confusion right now, it’s wrapping your heart. you gotta break out from that confusion – I don’t know how but you gotta ask God about it.”
“… Thanks…”
